Liminality

I’ve thought about it a lot and looked up a lot on “liminality”. I think the best example of this is probably my experience back home during the pandemic. It was indeed a very difficult and unforgettable time.

Everything was chaotic at that time, there was no time to take pictures to commemorate anything.

I dug up some photos from my phone, and most of them I had to rely on memories to complete my work. I made 14 postcards. They represent my fourteen days in quarantine. Each card tells a short story, including how I spent two weeks in the quarantine hotel, my experience on the plane, and the difficult experience of buying a ticket.

I printed those cards by using risograph and add AR effects on them. Both two techniques were new to me, I was excited about them.

However, I also met a lot of problems. Control the printing time, arrange the following work, and find the problem of Artivive app.

AR reveal the next level of meaning. Liminality also means there’s a chance to change. At this stage, I need to reflect. What do I want to do next? What would I like to change?
